Exceptional working relationships are paramount in everything we do. This is why our success has been built on repeat custom.
We believe in a non-confrontational approach to business, which means we take care to work through issues in collaboration with clients and partners. In this way we’ve developed a strong client base and an outstanding supply chain over many years.
We also understand our clients’ needs and values. This makes us responsive and creative, tailoring our services to each project and adapting as situations evolve.
Our proactive, loyal staff at every level work hard to ensure projects are always delivered to the client’s satisfaction.
That’s why Finnegan’s client base now includes Costco Wholesale UK, St Paul’s Developments, Etihad Airways, The Catesby Property Group, Sheffield Colleges, Argon Properties, Jaguar Estates, SEGRO Properties, Brake Bros and TNT, among others.
We consistently keep our knowledge of technologies up to date, investing in staff training and meeting industry standards.
Through experience we’ve found that ground conditions pose the greatest risk to most projects – many of our clients have encountered problems within the existing substrate.
Our vast knowledge of ground issues makes us ideally placed to help in these cases. We can remedy poor-quality soils, low-bearing properties, redundant coal workings, high gas levels and contaminated soils with little disruption.
Finnegan’s reliable supply chain includes several frame contractors who are on hand to help find the right solution for each proposed superstructure. We also have several internal services contractors and consultants who can advise on the best option for every scheme.
Whatever your technical problem, we have access to the skills and expertise needed to solve it.
From the very first stages of every project, sustainability is at the forefront of our minds.
Finnegan has developed a company policy that links our commitments under BREEAM with the overall aim of reducing our environmental impact, and we’re accredited to ISO 14001 in environmental management.
So all our buildings are designed around the principles of energy conservation, efficient operation and waste minimisation. We aim to use local resources where possible, and actively encourage development of the surrounding ecology during construction.
Our strict waste targets, monitored from concept through to delivery, mean that 100% of our construction waste materials are now recycled.
We also integrate recycled materials into every building, and new materials are procured from sustainable sources wherever possible. The end product is always a building that can be operated and maintained throughout its life without harming people or the environment.
Finnegan’s absolute commitment to quality underpins everything we do, and this is reflected in our accreditation to ISO 9001.
Beginning with senior management and extending to all employees, the development of quality systems, targets and objectives is a company-wide process. Employee involvement is an important part of the standard, which is why all our staff are trained within the ISO systems.
The health and safety of our staff, partners and the wider community are integral to every business decision that we make. It is part of our core philosophy that a project can be delivered safely, on time and on budget without anyone getting hurt, at any stage.
For this reason, the safety culture in our business and the attitude of our staff are key to our operations.
Safety systems are in place to provide guidance, and all tasks are risk assessed.
We also believe that common sense, when combined with the experience of trained personnel, adds greatly to the management of safety at site level.
To support this commitment, Finnegan employs a safety professional (CMOISH), maintains excellent relationships with enforcing agencies such as the HSE and EA, and is accredited to ISO 18001.
