Modern Slavery Act – Statement

Introduction

J F Finnegan Limited is committed to compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will endeavour to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking within our directly employed workforce or the supply chain.

This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1st October 2016 to 30th September 2017.

Organisational structure and supply chains

The business operates solely in the UK, undertaking projects across a number of sectors and also engages in development opportunities and property investment.

The majority of our services are delivered through our approved supply chain, providing both labour and materials.

Responsibility and initiatives

The following provides an overview of the policies, risk assessments and investigations undertaken during this period.

  • All directly employed labour has been verified to ensure compliance with the Right to Work legislation.

  • Recruitment procedures have been revised and updated.

  • Improved and enhanced the processes for selecting those to be included within the approved supply chain database:

    • Requested supply chain register with construction line

    • Supply chain expectation list updated

  • Training of senior managers to promote awareness
